I'm doing a talk at SharePoint Saturday Boston about The Best of Both Worlds - Connecting SharePoint to the rest of the Enterprise using BizTalk

Do you need to send SharePoint into an ERP system? Do you need tie SharePoint into a long-running business process involving several applications and potentially, external business partners?

Writing one-off apps to get data in and out of SharePoint is certainly one approach. Instead, let’s leverage the benefits BizTalk Server delivers out of the box: durable and robust messaging, an extensive set of adapters, EDI and Mainframe connectivity and real-time visibility at the transaction level.

This session covers the various ways you can integrate information stored in SharePoint with line-of-business applications and external partners. This talk focuses on the endpoints and adapters available to exchange data with SharePoint using BizTalk as the integration hub. BizTalk and SharePoint complement each other in many ways – this session will outline the best way to optimize this powerful combination.
